Dear Alumni and Friends of Virginia State University
It is truly an honor for me to have this unique opportunity to serve as the 36th President of the Virginia State University Alumni Association. At a time when alumni from all corners of the world are seeing the need to connect and re-connect to our Alma Mater, I accept both the challenge and the responsiblity to lead this organization to even greater heights. By so doing, I fully recognize and appreciate the tremendous leadership that has preceded me through the years. It is my desire to use the foundation that has been previously laid as a cornerstone for future growth.
No one can be more proud of this University than I am. As a proud member of the VSU classes of 1970 and 1976, I serve as an ambassador for all that we have done and for all that is yet to come.
As I welcome you to this new era of leadership, I invite you to join the ranks of the other National officers who stand as committed as I do to work as diligently as we can to increase both the visibility and positive actions of our Alumni Association. Our goals are clear and obtainable. Together, we can make a difference.
Finally, I look forward with great anticipation to meeting you. But most importantly, I look forward to working with you as a member of the Virginia State University Alumni Association. I enthusiastically encourage you to get involved, take a stand and be counted.
Please feel free to let me hear from you. Today is a great day to be a "Trojan."
In Trojan Spirit,
